Use a flexible measuring tape without compressing the stuffing. Keep your doll in a natural position and write down the measurements.

A size label is a guide to doll height, not a universal body standard. Standard, rounder and long-leg bodies can need different cuts.

Five little measurements.

Height

Measure the standing body from head to feet. Note whether hair or ears are included.

Chest

Measure around the fullest part of the torso, below the arms.

Waist

Measure where the garment’s waistband will sit.

Hips

Measure the widest part around the seat, without squeezing.

Opening & length

Check the head or neck opening, limb openings and required garment length.
